SUMMARY:Maestrazgo in books. I Maestrazgo Region Book Fair.
DESCRIPTION:Location: Castellote \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Comarca del Maestrazgo through its Cultural Heritage and Culture Areas together with the Centro de Estudios del Maestrazgo Turolense\, CEMAT\, will present in Castellote the first fair to publicize the books related to the villages of the region and its surroundings. For this\, we have had the strong support and involvement of the Castellote City Council and the Castellote Villa Templaria Association. \n\n\n\nThis is not a conventional book fair\, but a sample of publications and activities related to the history\, art and literature of Maestrazgo. \n\n\n\nIn order to publicize these publications\, all the associations operating in the territory have been invited\, including the powerful study centers of Mas de las Matas\, Andorra\, Calanda and Alcorisa. \n\n\n\nThe conference will open very early in the morning and will be followed by the presentation of 7 books\, including literature and research\, whose authors will tell us details about the creative\, research and publishing process and will sign copies. \n\n\n\nAt the same time\, children will have workshops with La Ardachoteca throughout the morning where they will meet the most literary characters of the region. \n\n\n\nAt 12.30h the reading club of our only library in the county will celebrate its 20th anniversary. \n\n\n\nThe literary Vermout will be a poetic musical event with the group Poética Líquida from Teruel. \n\n\n\nTo eat you have to sign up on a form. It is advisable not to miss any of the program\, which is very tight. \n\n\n\nAfter lunch\, members of associations\, study centers and cultural agents present will hold a workshop to share experiences\, concerns and contacts. \n\n\n\nThe little ones\, at 4:00 p.m.\, will be able to enjoy “Los Descuentacuentos”\, a children’s show by the Galitoon company\, which offers a very funny puppet theater. \n\n\n\nThe Castellote Villa Templaria Association encourages us to participate in an Escape Street through the streets of the village\, in which we will have to uncover mysteries and historical enigmas. \n\n\n\nAnd at the same time\, people who are curious or want to encourage their creativity to write literature\, can participate in the workshop of Kike Parra and Barbara Blasco\, writers linked to Castellote. \n\n\n\nIn short\, a full program of activities to learn more about our area through books\, to promote reading and encourage artistic and literary creation at all ages.

SUMMARY:Total solar eclipse in 2026
DESCRIPTION:Teruel is already preparing for the first total solar eclipse visible from the Iberian Peninsula in more than a century. \n\nThis will take place at sunset on Wednesday \, August 12\, 2026\, at 20:30\, with a duration of 1 minute 34 seconds\, the first total solar eclipse visible from the Iberian Peninsula in more than a century. \n\n This will require observing the eclipse from a location with good visibility to the west. Since it will be in summer\, the chances of clear skies are high in a large part of the country. We will provide more information throughout the coming year. \n\nThe totality band of this eclipse will cross Spain from west to east and will pass through many provincial capitals such as Teruel. Spain is located at the end of the totality band\, so it will happen when the Sun is setting very close to the horizon. This will make it necessary to observe the eclipse from a place with good visibility to the west. As it happens in summer\, the chances of having a clear sky are high in a large part of the country. \n\n(https://astronomia.ign.es/web/guest/eclipses-de-sol-y-luna/eclipse-total-sol-de-12-de-agosto-2026). \n\n\n\nSource: eclipse262728 \n\n*Somewhere in this section\, a countdown of the days remaining until the eclipse. \n\n(Various resources at this link https://theskylive.com/solar-eclipse?id=2026-08-12&geoid=3121238&lang=es#google_vignette) \n\nTherefore\, the Maestrazgo region is an ideal destination to observe these phenomena\, since its location is privileged\, being in high mountains\, with viewpoints where we find neither vegetation nor infrastructure and a very low light pollution. \n\nRecommendations to make this experience unique: \n\n\nReserve in advance your lodging and food site.\n\n\n\nBring cash. Not all accommodations offer card payment. \n\n\n\nPlan your trip. Leave your home early and measure the times and breaks you are going to take along the way. \n\n\n\nDO NOT look directly at the sun without protection. Buy specialized eclipse viewing glasses that meet the international standard ISO 12312-2. Ordinary sunglasses will not work. \n\n\n\nIf your telescope has solar filters suitable for the eclipse\, it will not be necessary to use specialized eclipse glasses\, but remember\, you will NOT be able to look at the sun directly\, only through your telescope.\n\n\n\nFind the area from where you want to see the eclipse and leave your car well parked.\n\n\n\nDon’t leave waste lying around. Take garbage bags with you and throw them away when you see a dumpster. \n\n\n\nKeep in mind that to access the viewpoints you will have to walk a certain distance. Take your time to walk it quietly and appreciate the scenery. \n\n\n\nWe recommend that you carry a headlamp\, a flashlight or some other object that will help you light up on the way back.\n\n\nPrecautions: \n\n\nThe Sun should never be observed directly or with sunglasses. During a partial eclipse\, the Sun is never completely covered by the Moon and therefore looking at it without any safe and adequate protection can damage the eyes. \n\n\n\nThe Sun should not be observed with devices (cameras\, videos) or instruments (telescopes\, binoculars) that are not prepared for it and have the corresponding solar filters. Nor should it be observed with filters that are not approved for safe observation of the Sun. \n\n\n\nThe Sun can be safely observed by viewing its image projected on some kind of screen in the shade. For example\, the image obtained on a wall or a ceiling with a flat mirror covered internally with a paper to which a hole of less than 1 cm in diameter has been cut out. Do not look at the image of the Sun in the mirror\, look only at the projected image. \n\n\n\nThe Sun can be safely observed by means of filters commonly called eclipse glasses. They must be approved by the European Community for solar observation and must be used following the instructions printed on them. They must be in perfect condition. Do not walk while wearing them\, preferably remain seated. Do not remove them until you have taken your eyes off the sun. They should not be used with optical devices\, although they can be superimposed on a pair of prescription glasses. \n\n\n\nThe use of optical instruments is not recommended except by professionals or experts with recognized experience in solar observation. Do not use solar filters that screw onto the eyepiece\, as they reach a high temperature and may break. If necessary\, filters should be placed in front of the objective. \n\n\n(https://astronomia.ign.es/web/guest/eclipses-de-sol#preca)

SUMMARY:Other eclipses in 2027 and 2028
DESCRIPTION:The years 2026\, 2027 and 2028 will be important years for astro-tourism\, since unprecedented astronomical events will take place in our country. In 2027 there will be an eclipse of similar characteristics to that of 2026 and in 2028 an annular eclipse. The province of Teruel is within the area where the eclipse of 2026 will be most likely to be experienced. \n\n*You can know the astronomical events of this year 2025 in these pages: \n\n\nhttps://www.photopills.com/es/articulos/guia-fotografia-eventos-astronomicos\n\n\n\nhttps://starwalk.space/es/news/astronomy-calendar-2025
