Labordeta Route through the Maestrazgo region

Maestrazgo Region

As long as you want
Several municipalities

It can be enjoyed all year round.

What does it consist of?

The singer-songwriter and politician José Antonio Labordeta “returns” to the Aragonese region of Maestrazgo, 30 years after the television program Un país en la mochila, with an escape tour designed to travel through the region with the writer himself as the fictitious narrator.

The route proposes the completion of eight tests in different municipalities, sealing a passport by overcoming challenges ranging from historical riddles to gastronomic games.

From the Hostal de la Trucha in Villarluengo, where the adventure begins, to the Tourist Office of Iglesuela del Cid or the artisan cheeses of Tronchón, participants will have to overcome challenges to obtain the stamps that will allow them to complete their passport.

Through a digital travelogue, the Aragonese singer-songwriter and writer will retrace the paths he once trod, while meeting locals, reliving anecdotes and even crossing paths with historical characters in a game of fiction and reality that adds a literary component to the experience.

To guarantee the authenticity of the route, the web platform only allows access to the challenges when the user is physically in the corresponding municipality, at which time the collaborating establishments will validate the resolution of the tests and the passage of the participants by means of stamps.

Participants will not have a deadline to complete the route in order to ensure the greatest enjoyment of the experience, but the first travelers to complete it with all the stamps will receive prizes and discounts on accommodations and local products.
