With this culinary proposal, several restaurants in the area aim to bring the Order of the Temple and medieval gastronomy to the table.
The Templars were the lords of what is known today as Maestrazgo from the end of the 12th century until the dissolution of the order at the beginning of the 14th century. Today, his legacy is still visible in several locations. The restorers of the region thus put in value this interesting period of its history, looking back and recovering part of the gastronomy of that time through a thematic menu.
These menus are elaborated according to the recipes and foods existing in the Middle Ages, although adapted to our times. Stews, casseroles and meats have special prominence. Each restaurant makes its own proposal, some as a tasting menu and others with different dishes to choose from.
