The GR 8 stage to Iglesuela del Cid begins next to the Loreto de Cantavieja hermitage. In a few meters, by asphalt road, you leave the route to the picnic area of “El Rebollar” (PR-TE 69). The route turns into a dirt track and later into a well-defined trail, which takes advantage of the paths between dry stone walls. Stone huts and kilometers of walls mark the route, under the watchful eye of the numerous mountain cattle. After passing the “Torre Martín” farmhouse, the route of the stage runs parallel to the A-227 road, but along the old historic road that linked these towns. The dry stone of La Iglesuela del Cid has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC).
