The GR 8 leaves towards Cantavieja crossing the A-226 road, next to the information panel, to take the old road to Fortanete. This route passes next to a collapsed boundary cross and continues the ascent to the San Cristóbal azagador, with beautiful panoramic views of the abandoned terraced fields on the hillside. Extensive hills devoid of vegetation appear in our path. Below the Tronchón road, the stage continues towards the Loma del Mas Blanco. Cross the farmhouse and descend to Mas de Las Liebres. A path along the cliff descends the limestone ledge and reaches the medieval bridge over the Cantavieja River (Tronchón path). Finally, the GR goes up the hillside, linking with the route coming from Fortanete, crosses the A-226 road and enters the historic center of Cantavieja.
