From Cuevas de Cañart the route begins with a steep climb to the Salto de San Juan and the anthropomorphic tombs carved into the rock (km 1). Continue the ascent to the old icehouse and the spring of San Juan (km 2), next to the hermitage. The route continues ascending to a plateau formed by numerous poljes, depressions in the terrain composed of fertile valleys generated by subway water (km 7.5). The route descends to Molinos where we can observe the Barranco de San Nicolas (km 15). The return is through the Grutas de Cristal, which can be visited and has been declared a Natural Monument (km 18.6). The ascent continues until it connects with the GR 8 trail and further on, with the initial route (km 29.2) returning along the same path to Las Cuevas de Cañart (km 37).
