Choose your itinerary (according to your knowledge of the terrain and your physical conditions). <\/li>\n<li>Let someone know the area you are going to, the car you are taking and your expected return time<a href=\"https:\/\/montanasegura.com\/PDF\/Solitarios_Declaran_Intenciones.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(you can use this declaration of intent form<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aemet.es\/es\/eltiempo\/prediccion\/montana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weather forecast<\/a> for the chosen date.<\/li>\n<li>A good <a href=\"https:\/\/montanasegura.com\/mapa-brujula-y-gps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">map of the area<\/a>, current and with details of tracks and roads can be of great help. Scale 1:25.000 or 1:40.000 would be ideal. <\/li>\n<li>Establish boundaries that are clearly identifiable on the ground (a ravine, a track or road, a ridge, a firebreak&#8230;). Install some of them on your mobile: <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.orux.oruxmapsIGN&#038;hl=es_419\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maps of Spain<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=it.carfind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find the parked car<\/a> are useful to mark your initial position and be able to return to it when you are done. <\/li>\n<li>You can also <a href=\"https:\/\/montanasegura.com\/compartir-tu-ubicacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">share your location in real time <\/a>(at all times) with Google Maps or WhatsApp, although do not forget that in these two cases you will need to have data coverage throughout the area for the location to be shared continuously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In case you need help, keep in mind&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If even with these recommendations something goes wrong and you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montanasegura.com\/llamada-al-112-en-montana\/\">call the rescue teams<\/a>, try to <a href=\"https:\/\/montanasegura.com\/compartir-tu-ubicacion\/\">send the coordinates of your position<\/a> through your cell phone.
