The Maestrazgo with respect to Aragon."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Aragon has 33 administrative districts, 10 in Teruel, 10 in Huesca and 13 in Zaragoza. Interestingly, there are 4 comarcas that share territory in Huesca and Zaragoza, this is the case of Jacetania, Hoya de Huesca, Los Monegros and Bajo Cinca. <\/p>\n\n<p>In terms of surface area, the largest is Cinco Villas, with 3,062.50 km\u00b2 and the smallest is Ribera Alta del Ebro with 416.00 km\u00b2. <strong>Maestrazgo<\/strong> has 1,204.30 km\u00b2, and is in 17th position. <\/p>\n\n<p>If we look at the population (2019 data), the most populated, of course, is the Central Region, with Zaragoza at the head, and 756,291 inhabitants, which represents 57.33% of the total population of Aragon. It is followed by Hoya de Huesca with 68,076, the Community of Teruel with 46,151, the Community of Calatayud with 37,036 and Cinco Villas with 30,622 inhabitants. <strong>Maestrazgo <\/strong>is at the bottom of the list, with 3,177 inhabitants and 0.24% of the total population of Arag\u00f3n. It is followed by Sierra de Albarrac\u00edn, with 4,377 inhabitants, Campo de Belchite with 4,595, Campo de Daroca with 5,555 and Bajo Mart\u00edn with 6,307. You can see the data of all the comarcas <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Anexo:Comarcas_de_Arag%C3%B3n\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.    <\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"730\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/38-aragc3b3n-comarcas-y-poblaciones-730x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/38-aragc3b3n-comarcas-y-poblaciones-730x1024.jpg 730w, https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/38-aragc3b3n-comarcas-y-poblaciones-214x300.jpg 214w, https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/38-aragc3b3n-comarcas-y-poblaciones-768x1078.jpg 768w, https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/38-aragc3b3n-comarcas-y-poblaciones-1094x1536.jpg 1094w, https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/38-aragc3b3n-comarcas-y-poblaciones.jpg 1140w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/fr\/pueblo\/cantavieja\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cantavieja <\/a>is also the smallest county capital in Aragon with only 700 inhabitants, followed by Albarrac\u00edn, with 1016 inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n<p>Regarding the average altitude of the villages of the region, we occupy the <strong>second place, with 1,114 meters above sea level<\/strong>, being <a href=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/fr\/pueblo\/allepuz\/\">Allepuz <\/a>the highest village of the region, located at 1,424 meters above sea level and <a href=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/fr\/pueblo\/castellote\/\">Castellote<\/a> the lowest with 804 meters above sea level. We are only surpassed in average altitude by the Sierra de Albarrac\u00edn, with 1,358 meters above sea level, followed by G\u00fadar Javalambre with 1079 meters above sea level. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"416\" height=\"342\" src=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/com30.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29311\" srcset=\"https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/com30.png 416w, https:\/\/turismomaestrazgo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/com30-300x247.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Regarding the number of municipalities per region, there are some very large ones, such as the Community of Teruel with 46 municipalities, or Hoya de Huesca and Jiloca with 40 each. The smallest is Bajo Arag\u00f3n\/Caspe with 6, Alto G\u00e1llego with 8, and Cinca Medio, Andorra Sierra de Arcos and Bajo Mart\u00edn with 9 each. Maestrazgo has 15 municipalities, one minor local entity and 8 inhabited districts.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Finally, the Maestrazgo region borders with G\u00fadar Javalambre to the south, with the Community of Teruel and the Cuencas Mineras to the west, and with Andorra Sierra de Arcos and Bajo Arag\u00f3n to the north.
