Autumn species that usually appears associated with Scots pine forests. Common species in the mycological preserve. Yellowish-white mushroom with viscous cuticle, decurrent, waxy, thick and separate lamellae. The foot is tenacious, thinning at the base. The white slug is accompanied by other edible and common species of the genus such as H. chrysodon, with yellow granulations in several areas of the carpophore and H. agathosmus, with grayish colorations and an intense smell of bitter almonds make it easily distinguishable.
