Angula de monte or trompeta amarilla

Craterellus lutescens (Fr.) Fr. (1838)

Very characteristic mushroom with a hollow funnel-shaped depression in the cap, which continues along the entire stem as if it were a crater. The cuticle is brown, while the folds of the hymenophore and the stem are yellowish. They are small in size and are abundant when they make their appearance during autumn among mosses and grasses in the shadiest areas of the bush. It is good edible, does not worm and is usually dried or frozen for use in soups, sauces and stews.
