Pie azul

Lepista nuda (Bull.) Cooke 1871

Saprophytic mushroom of wide ecology that appears forming witches’ corns, during the months of October and November. All its parts have purplish tones, although with age and rain, the showy coloring tends to fade. Very appreciated in the kitchen for its versatility. Species highly recommended for neophytes, as it is difficult to confuse it with toxic species, although it should be borne in mind, the existence in the Maestrazgo of toxic species with the same coloration of the genus Cortinarius.
