Bujarón

Calocybe gambosa (Fr.) Donk (1962)

The bujarón, as this mushroom is known in Maestrazgo, develops during the spring in the coolest and most humid calcareous grasslands, it can also appear associated with vizcoderos (hawthorns), blackthorns and other rosaceae. It forms typical crescent-shaped witches’ rings, known as bujaroneras. It is a compact, hard, whitish mushroom. It has narrow, narrow, narrowed and notched lamellae and has a particular floury odor.
