Aliaga House

The Aliaga house is one of the most valuable examples of Renaissance architecture in the Maestrazgo region. It is a palace of enormous dimensions symbol of the lineage, wealth and wisdom of the owner family. The Aliaga lineage was one of the most prestigious in the area and in addition to their house in Iglesuela del Cid they owned another palace of similar characteristics in Mirambel. The Aliaga house in La Iglesuela has not undergone major modifications and is kept furnished as it was left by the last family that lived there. It has two large living rooms, with their corresponding alcoves, decorated with interesting canvases and ceramics. In the attic we see the characteristic gallery of Aragonese arches under a beautifully carved wooden eave.

Guided tours of the Historic-Artistic Site at 12:00 and 16:30 (including the Casa Aliaga, a Renaissance palace from the 16th century).
