Maestrazgo in books. I Maestrazgo Region Book Fair.

6 June | 12:00 pm 9:00 pm

Location: Castellote

The Comarca del Maestrazgo through its Cultural Heritage and Culture Areas together with the Centro de Estudios del Maestrazgo Turolense, CEMAT, will present in Castellote the first fair to publicize the books related to the villages of the region and its surroundings. For this, we have had the strong support and involvement of the Castellote City Council and the Castellote Villa Templaria Association.

This is not a conventional book fair, but a sample of publications and activities related to the history, art and literature of Maestrazgo.

In order to publicize these publications, all the associations operating in the territory have been invited, including the powerful study centers of Mas de las Matas, Andorra, Calanda and Alcorisa.

The conference will open very early in the morning and will be followed by the presentation of 7 books, including literature and research, whose authors will tell us details about the creative, research and publishing process and will sign copies.

At the same time, children will have workshops with La Ardachoteca throughout the morning where they will meet the most literary characters of the region.

At 12.30h the reading club of our only library in the county will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The literary Vermout will be a poetic musical event with the group Poética Líquida from Teruel.

To eat you have to sign up on a form. It is advisable not to miss any of the program, which is very tight.

After lunch, members of associations, study centers and cultural agents present will hold a workshop to share experiences, concerns and contacts.

The little ones, at 4:00 p.m., will be able to enjoy “Los Descuentacuentos”, a children’s show by the Galitoon company, which offers a very funny puppet theater.

The Castellote Villa Templaria Association encourages us to participate in an Escape Street through the streets of the village, in which we will have to uncover mysteries and historical enigmas.

And at the same time, people who are curious or want to encourage their creativity to write literature, can participate in the workshop of Kike Parra and Barbara Blasco, writers linked to Castellote.

In short, a full program of activities to learn more about our area through books, to promote reading and encourage artistic and literary creation at all ages.
