The essence of the project
The objective is clear: to highlight the cultural and scenic heritage of the region, and at the same time invite all attendees to learn more about the environment in which they are located.
The formula is simple and powerful:
- Landscape interpretation: before the concert there is a brief explanation -or guided walk- to better understand the environment: its geology, vegetation, history, particularities of the place.
- Live music: then comes the moment to enjoy a musical proposal selected for that specific environment, adapting to its character, acoustics and atmosphere.
Each edition looks for different scenarios within the Maestrazgo – unusual places, in the middle of nature or in places with heritage significance – to surprise the public and offer a different experience each year.
A look back at past editions
Throughout these five years, the concerts have taken place in places scattered throughout the region. Here is a brief review of the places chosen so far:
- First edition: Camino de los Pilones (between Villarroya de los Pinares and Allepuz) and the Llovedor corner in Castellote.
- Second edition: Loma de la Cruz Gorda in Fortanete, and Masía El Morrón in Bordón.
- Third edition: Loma de San Cristobal (La Cuba) and Pitarquejo area (Pitarque).
- Fourth edition: Despoblado de Santolea and place of Tremedal (Tronchón).
- Edition 2025 (current): Cerro de San Cristobal (Miravete de la Sierra) and threshing floor of the Montesanto tower (Villarluengo).
Each year involves a search: to find that corner that inspires calm, that has a singular beauty, that allows the music to dialogue with the landscape.
Why it works: the magic of the unexpected
This project is different from a conventional concert, and its appeal lies precisely in that:
- Environment as protagonist: the landscape is not a background decoration: it is an essential part of the experience.
- Intimacy and closeness: the atmosphere is intimate and intimate, as the events are held in natural spaces with little traffic, the audiences are usually small and the atmosphere is intimate.
- Connection with the territory: the audience not only listens to music, but also gets to know the place -its history, its configuration- thanks to the previous interpretation.
- Surprise and novelty: there are no repeated scenarios, which keeps curiosity and interest alive every year.
