The GR 8 is a long-distance trail that crosses the Eastern Iberian System. Most of its route runs in Maestrazgo, from Las Planas it continues towards Bordón, Tronchón, Mirambel, Cantavieja and Fortanete, in the direction of Valdelinares.

In addition, there are two variants of the crossing in the region:

The GR 8.1, with 7 stages, which run along the four Natural Monuments of Maestrazgo. It leaves Las Planas passing through La Algecira, Ladruñán, Las Cuevas de Cañart, Molinos, Ejulve, Villarluengo, Pitarque, Cañada de Benatanduz and Fortanete, where it reaches the main branch again.

The GR 8.2, with 3 stages and shorter length, the ring of the Piedra Seca, which starts in Cantavieja towards La Iglesuela del Cid, La Cuba and Mirambel, where it reaches the main branch again.
