Antonio Dorregaray
1823-1882
He fought in the rebel ranks during the first Carlist war and accepted the agreement, contributing to the surrender of Castellote and Morella under Espartero’s orders. He remained in the army until 1868 when he requested leave and entered the service of Don Carlos. He commanded the Army of the North and, later, the Army of the Center, practically until the end of the war.
