Daughter of the marriage of Fernando VII with María Cristina de Borbón. She was queen of Spain between 1833 and 1868, by virtue of the repeal of the succession regulations of 1713, which gave preference to male heirs in the main line (sons) or lateral line (brothers and nephews). This provoked the insurrection of the supporters of his uncle, the infante Carlos María Isidro, and the First Carlist War.
